I saw this retrospective of George Bush photos linked from
Daring Fireball the other day and socked it away in a tab for
later comment. Since then a sizable portion of the world entire has
linked to it, so I’m sorry to drag the old thing out again, but when I
saw it from Mills, the photo he chose to display reminded me of
this similar one, which stood out to me. Vincent Amalvy says of it:


  George Bush was never part of the U.N., really. And so, that’s a
  kind of joke, his shadow is enough.


It put me immediately in mind of the Doonesbury device of
depicting both Bushes as invisible points.
