FriendFeed Is This Years Twitter, But Why?
TechCrunch’s Duncan Riley questions the hype surrounding FriendFeed. I’ve been thinking the very same thing. It just seems like a redundant place to view information you’re already seeing elsewhere. I’ve been slowly removing all the feeds that I configured under Tumblr for the same reason. Maybe the FriendFeed advantage is the conversation that coalesces, but I still think that these conversations should be distributed around the web rather than centralized under a service.
On the other hand, again like Duncan, I was very late joining Twitter because I just didn’t see the advantage at first. I still didn’t get it until I actually started using it. Maybe it’s the same with FriendFeed.
